Tree Houses are the ultimate return to nature, and the Liljestrand House did just that. Bridging the gap between urban life and mid twentieth century Hawaii, the Liljestand House transports you to a place of peace and tranquility. Set on the winding slopes of Mount Tantalus, the home is rich in history and brimming with views around every corner. As we made our way up the winding roads of Tantalus Drive and turned into the gated entry, a canopy of trees and an assortment of chickens led us to the home. We were greeted with a vintage Porsche parked in the Porte Cochere, one of the many architectural details Vladamir Ossipoff so gracefully designed. Standing on the balcony overlooking Diamond Head, the caterers prepared for the Wedding below as I briefly closed my eyes and began to imagine the life that filled this home back in the 1950’s.
Tommy and Mariya traveled from Tokyo with their closest family and friends to celebrate their Wedding Day and begin their own legacy. Their relationship felt effortless, full of love and commitment. Their Wedding Day was a dream! From the meticulously planned details, to the exquisite venue and their heartfelt exchange of vows, it was an honor to capture their fairy-tale come to life. As the day came to an end, the sunset lit up the entire sky above the city down below, putting on one final show for Tommy, Mariya and all of their loved ones.
